The Dog Days of Summer are almost behind us and AniCell has been hard at work everywhere… including Alaska. We are very excited to share the results that we are achieving as well as additional internal data and published science.

North Carolina State University Amnion Wound Study Gets Published in ACVS Surgery Journal.

Dr. Alex Fowler BVSc and the Schnabel Lab is proud to announce the publication of our controlled experimental wound healing study in Veterinary Surgery which found that the use of AniCell’s StemWrap and StemWrap+ products results in increased production of granulation tissue while maintaining appropriate healing.

This study compared the use of commercially available amnion (AniCell’s StemWrap line) to the use of both a non-adherent dressing and a silicone-dressed control on experimentally induced full-thickness distal limb wounds.

This finding supports our clinical observation that these products are critical in wounds with substantial tissue loss and complicating factors such as underlying exposed bone and/or tendons in which the expedient production of large amounts of healthy granulation tissue is desirable to fill in the defect and cover underlying anatomical structures.

New Product Efficacy and Safety Tracking System – Results by Indication

AniCell has been diligent over the last 4 years to track product efficacy and safety of our products out to 120 days. Our veterinarian customers, out of the goodness of their hearts, have responded for us and for that, we are extremely grateful.

AniCell has just surpassed its 4,900th case with a response rate of 39%. We expect to see that response rate grow with the deployment of an electronic case tracking system. While this is in no way scientific, this system will allow veterinarians and support personnel to follow up on cases from their phones in the field and provide a better tracking on our products and gives us a “best effort” attempt to provide an actual representation of our products’ outcomes.

AniCell tracks the outcomes of our products by serial number and indication to ensure our products are achieving the absolute best results. We stand behind our products by re-treating cases that didn’t achieve the expected outcomes. We do this free of charge to the veterinarian and will even go as far as guaranteeing the results on our proven indications by refunding the purchase price to the veterinarian.

We understand that all cases are not able to come back to previous performance levels. Through familiarity with the products and good case selection, veterinarians have been able to realize above a 90% success rate on tendon, ligament, joint, bone, superficial wound and ocular injuries, out-performing the existing standard of care.
