Velvet’s Severe Shoulder Wound

Sometimes, just getting through the gait is a problem, as seen here.  After impaling herself on a gait, Velvet, a 7-year-old quarter horse mare was stitched-up on April 26th, 2022 by Dr. Emily Hood of Hood Equine in Texas.  Dr. Hood used AniCell’s StemWrap Biobandage to provide the material needed to regrow the tissue.  In conjunction, she used the StemWrap D along the sutures to reduce the chance of de-vitalization.

Both Velvet’s owner Hollie Gambion and Dr. Hood are overjoyed with the results of AniCell’s “one-and-done” solution for severe wounds like Velvet’s.  Hollie is excited to get Velvet back to roping.
