When a Cal Poly University yearling filly named Sunshine got her left leg was caught in a barbed wire fence on August 20th, 2015, Dr. Campos, a reproductive veterinarian and researcher with the school called in Dr. Vanessa Bradley, a veterinarian with the Equine Center Vet Clinic of San Luis Obispo.  The initial decision was to euthanize Sunshine but Dr. Campos reached out to AniCell to treat this severe superficial distal limb laceration of the left hock that was 4” wide and 10” long.  Dr. Bradley and Dr. Campos used EquusCell’s StemWrap wound management products to treat these barbed wire cuts.

Amnion is the Key for Horses with Barbed Wire Cuts

Notable in wounds managed EquusCell StemWrap products is the hair color that returns to the wound area, quality of the tissue and the quick contraction.  Check out our research study done at the Schnabel Lab at North Carolina State University and our Clinical Trial.

For managing barbed wire cuts in distal limbs, StemWrap is a singular, veterinarian applied, all-natural amnion-powered treatment with bandage changes every five days instead of the constant daily treatments and bandage changes.
