Chandler, AZ, February 20, 2018 – On January 4, 2018, AniCell Biotech welcomed our new Technical Veterinarian, Dr. Mike Cissell, DVM MS DAVCS. Dr. Cissell comes to AniCell Biotech from Prescott Animal Hospital Equine Center in Prescott, AZ where he continues to see his equine patients.

Dr. Cissell is originally from Louisville, Kentucky, now residing in Prescott, Arizona. Dr. Cissell graduated Magna Cum Laude from Murray State University with a Bachelor of Science. He then went on to graduate Cum Laude with a DVM from Auburn University. Dr. Cissell further continued his education and training at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine where he completed both his internship and his surgical residency. After his internship and residency, Dr. Cissell became a faculty member at VMRCVM and passed his boards to become a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons.

While practicing at Prescott Animal Hospital Equine Center, Dr. Cissell started to work with the AniCell Biotech line of regenerative therapies. Since he began his work with our regenerative line of products he has helped a variety of patients with problems ranging from superficial wounds to orthopedic injuries. Dr. Cissell has been able to use AniCell’s products to successfully heal horses that range from backyard pets to high-level performance animals, despite some of these patients failing to respond to other common therapies. In addition to his work with regenerative therapies, Dr. Cissell served in practice as a referral resource for veterinarians throughout Northern Arizona. Although, as a board-certified surgeon Dr. Cissell spent much of his practice time focusing on patients with surgical needs, he also worked with a local therapeutic riding program in Prescott called Horses with Hearts to maintain the health of their herd.
