M and M Girl – A story for the ages

Very few things are as rewarding as having a hand in saving a horse’s life.  It is the greatest gift AniCell can give a horse owner.

In March of 2022, at the request of the USDA, AniCell got the opportunity to make an impact on an EHV-1 outbreak in Grand Island, Nebraska at Fonner Park Race Track.  When we arrived, two horses had been euthanized succumbing to neurological symptoms, two horses were quarantined with neurological symptoms and 112 were premise exposed with 29 in total testing positive.  M and M Girl was one of the neurological horses.  When we arrived, she was significantly unstable showing extensive neurological signs.  After administration of our amnion tissue allograft, both M & M Girl and the other quarantined, neurological horse, Risk Reward began to respond to the product and recover.  But with M & M girl, there was more to the story.  Samuel Sanderson tells her story:
