Initial data from our Phase II Field Trials

Beginning in February, AniCell began conducting Phase II Field Trial for certain indications (tendons, ligaments and joint inflammation) to better ascertain our products efficacy prior to our clinical trials coming up this summer. We have begun to collect our documentation and are starting to receive some initial ultrasound imaging that suggests that our products are making a difference. Because this data is preliminary, it is simply being presented as a case study while final data is received.

Spring is a 3-year-old Quarter Horse/Arabian mare with a severed Superficial Digital Flexor Tendon in the right hind limb. Dr. Mark Haugland DVM, DACVS of The Woodlands, TX treated her with AlloMatrix on February 2nd, 2016. In addition to AlloMatrix, Spring received 3 Shockwave treatments and regular hand walking. As of April 11th, the horse is sound at the walk and the fetlock joint does not drop any longer. Above are the before and after ultra sound images — before images taken February 2, 2016 and after images taken April 11, 2016.

Dr. Mark Haugland DVM, DACVS had this to say about AlloMatrix: “I would certainly use the product again. I think clients will pursue amnion as it is less expensive than stem cell treatment and can be used immediately without bone marrow or fat harvest. More expensive than PRP but may give a better result (I only have one case with amnion as opposed to 100+ cases with PRP). In the end I am not sure amnion provides a better quality result as opposed to PRP in tendon lesions but healing response is certainly faster. Right now it is my first option for treatment of tendon lesions.”

We realize that this a N of 1, merely preliminary data and in no way scientific evidence of efficacy of AniCell’s AlloMatrix products but it is a start and in alignment with the anecdotal data we have received in our safety evaluations. Expect more data in the future on these cases as we continue our field tests.
