Dr. Lauren Schnabel says, “This finding supports our clinical observations over the last four years that these products are critical in wounds with substantial tissue loss and complicating factors such as underlying exposed bone and/or tendons in which the expedient production of large amounts of healthy granulation tissue is desirable to fill in the defect and cover underlying anatomical structures.”

North Carolina State University Amnion Wound Study Gets Published in ACVS Surgery Journal.

Dr. Alex Fowler BVSc and the Schnabel Lab is proud to announce the publication of our controlled experimental wound healing study in Veterinary Surgery which found that the use of AniCell’s StemWrap and StemWrap+ products results in increased production of granulation tissue while maintaining appropriate healing.

This study compared the use of commercially available amnion (AniCell’s StemWrap line) to the use of both a non-adherent dressing and a silicone-dressed control on experimentally induced full-thickness distal limb wounds.

“Through the promotion of angiogenesis and the abundance of growth factors in the amnion, this amnion product covers and protects the wound as well as reduces the ongoing care associated with most distal limb wounds.” says AniCell PhD, Dr. Christopher Bradley.

“We are excited to finally have animal science to back up the plethora of human amnion science that support the use of amnion for wound healing. We have been tracking our results since 2015 and all be it anecdotal, this science falls in line with what we are seeing.” says Brandon Ames, AniCell’s CEO.

We will continue to track the outcomes of our products by serial number and indication to ensure we are providing an accurate representation of outcomes as they are presented to us.

AniCell will also continue to invest in outcome-based science to evolve the legitimacy of the technology in the marketplace just as it has been done with the technology on the human side.

We have plenty of case studies as well as additional animal amnion science that is available on our website.
