Published Study on

StemWrap-IU

At the request of Dr. Maria Schnobrich, DVM, DACT, of Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in 2021, AniCell embarked on a journey to discover the regenerative effects of AniCell’s new amnion composite in the intrauterine environment.

Along with Nathaniel Newton, Stephanie Walbornn, Christine Bartley, Jamie Kaczor, Lauren Moshier, Holly Hersey, Dale Kelley, and Robert Holland, they performed a 12-mare, 21-day safety study to evaluate the effects of intra-uterine application of this composite. Compared to a saline control, no mare experienced an elevated temp, or any differences in cytology, bloodwork, or histology. See the full study on our website or published in Journal of Veterinary Science.

A new book from a friend of AniCell!

I’m excited to share a wonderful new resource for you and your dogs.  Our friend, Rita Hogan, has written an incredible book called The Herbal Dog, which is now available for presale, to be released on February 4th, 2025.

Here is what people are saying about it:

Rita Hogan has an incredible understanding of herbal medicine, and I have heard many accolades from clients who have consulted with her on difficult cases. She has an excellent ability to break down the science of herbal therapy into easy-to-understand information.”

Dr. Judy Morgan, DVM

AniCell Biotech

A useful and comprehensive guide to herbal remedies for dogs. Rita Hogan has a profound understanding of our connection to the natural world. The Herbal Dog is a carefully crafted manual filled with a new perspective on using herbs that pet parents and herbal practitioners alike will find applicable. Upcoming CE course dates

We’re excited to kick off another year of live CE courses you can attend from the comfort of your home, truck, or office via ZOOM. We started these four years ago to help veterinarians and vet clinic staff learn about amnion as a regenerative application.  We have had over 1050 attendees who earned 2100 hours of RACE-approved Continuing Education credits. You can register by clicking the gold button below or sign up on our website at anicellbiotech.com/events. The free 90-minute course will be a live presentation on the history and use of amnion in human and veterinary regenerative medicine. Our live panel of guest veterinarians will present their latest cases of AniCell use for a variety of indications. Our open forum format encourages participation from attendees to ask questions as we go through the presentation and case studies. These courses are approved for 2 RACE credits for veterinary professionals.

Safety Note from Tech Services Veterinarian Dr. Tammi Epp DVM, PhD, DACVSMR

When utilizing amnion-based technology to support the body’s endogenous capability to heal injuries, it is crucial to avoid NSAIDs and other anti-inflammatory nutraceuticals (including some herbs, general anti-inflammatory supplements, and CBD products). These substances may inhibit the essential biological processes that drive natural healing and regeneration, directly interfering with the efficacy of amnion-based products. Prostaglandin E2 (PGE2), a key mediator in healing, plays a pivotal role in orchestrating and modulating inflammation and its resolution, guiding macrophage polarization toward a regenerative phenotype, promoting angiogenesis, recruiting and activating stem cells, optimizing extracellular matrix deposition, and influencing the remodeling process. Suppressing PGE2 and related pathways with anti-inflammatory agents can disrupt these finely tuned processes, reverse regenerative bioscaffold-mediated signaling, and derail healing pathways. This interference alters the microenvironment, cellular players, and molecular mechanisms critical for repair, ultimately impairing accelerated healing. For optimal results and long-term success when utilizing amnion bioscaffold for various applications, preserving the body’s natural repair mechanisms is essential, as they work synergistically with the regenerative properties of amnion-based technology.
