Happy Thanksgiving, and a belated Happy Thanksgiving to our Canadian friends who celebrated last month! At AniCell, we’re grateful for our families, for our friends, for the support of the great team behind our AniCell products, and we’re grateful for you, the veterinary professionals who we are privileged to work with every day.

New Pricing

Since AniCell Biotech’s inception in 2015, we’ve endeavored to keep the price of our regenerative amnion products affordable for our customers. In the past six years, we never increased prices or charged for standard shipping. Over the past year, we’ve all felt the pinch of higher prices in things that we rely on every day. At AniCell, we’ve experienced unprecedented increases in shipping, packaging, material, and productions costs, and as a result will be raising our prices for the first time in our history effective January 1, 2022, with an average price increase of 9%. Price increases are always painful no matter how small, but as always, we’re continually investing in ways to better serve the veterinary profession with innovative, safe, effective products backed by scientific studies.

With the end of the year quickly approaching, now may be a good time to take inventory of products you use most often and replenish your stock before prices increase. Our ready-to-use products have a 2-yr shelf life from the date of manufacture and can be stored at room temperature.

AAEP is LIVE this year! Our team will be headed to Nashville for the 67th Annual Convention of the American Association of Equine Practitioners. If you or any of your team members are planning to attend, we’d be delighted to see you to catch up to hear how your year has been and how AniCell has been working for you. Welcome Travis to Team AniCell

Travis Eller started as a customer of AniCell about a year ago. He and his wife were looking for products to keep their rodeo horses sound during a grueling rodeo season. As a PRCA Calf Roper, your horse is everything and mid-season, Roany was able to witness firsthand what it means to be “Regenerated by AniCell”. Travis is excited to join the AniCell Team as the new Account Representative for the Pacific and Canadian Region. Travis has a BS in Accounting from National American University and fills his spare time training Calf Roping horses.

New Case: Unusual Melanoma Presentation–Tailbone

Pearl is a 23-year-old AQHA bay Senior Champion Trail Horse Mare and has been to AQHA World Show now several times. In the spring of 2021, she sprouted a growth in her tail that continued to grow over the summer. Dr. Scott Meyer looked at it and found it to be a Melanoma. He resected the neoplasia and used StemWrap and StemWrap-D to manage the wound. Take a look at the 28-day progression from September 23rd to October 21st.

Bob Avila – 2021 AQHA Hall of Fame Inductee

In August, World Champion AQHA Trainer and two-time World’s Greatest Horseman Bob Avila was inducted into the AQHA Hall of Fame. AniCell is proud that Team Avila and their veterinarian trust AniCell as their regenerative therapy of choice. Take a moment and read about this amazing horseman.

Intra-uterine infection and inflammation

Last fall AniCell teamed up with Dr. Maria Schnobrich and Dr. Rob Holland to participate in a study in conjunction with Rood and Riddle Animal Hospital and Oklahoma State University on Intra-uterine injection of amnion-derived acellular bioscaffold product in mares: systemic and intra-uterine effects over 21 days. The study was performed by Dr. Nathaniel Newton and it was determined that our amnion product was safe to infuse intra-uterine. Recent histology results show less inflammation than the saline control.

These exciting results have warranted further research beginning in February with a 200 horse trial utilizing our amnion bioscaffold to address post-breeding infection and inflammation with a simple infusion. We’ll keep you updated as the study gets underway and share updates as they become available next year.
