Taz’s foot after AniCell
Taz, a two-year-old, male-(soon to be) neutered Lab mix-breed presented to Foothills Pet Healthcare Clinic in Mt Airy, NC after being injured by a shotgun blast to the right rear paw on Monday, February 11, 2019, after being presented to the local animal shelter as a surrendered dog. He was bleeding profusely, in shock, and Mayberry 4 Paws a local rescue group stepped in to provide care for him. He was rushed to the Foothills where Dr. Jonathan Adcock stabilized him, removed some of the necrotic tissue and a cold dangling toe. The staff worked diligently to treat his wounds with antibiotics and analgesics for a few days, unfortunately, more tissue continued to devitalize and die off. That’s when we reached for the AniCell. Within a week he was markedly better.

Shotgun wound 15 days after surgery and 6 days after application of AniCell StemWrap Amnion Wound Dressing on February 26, 2019.
Dr. Adcock had this to say about the results: “Without this product, Taz would have surely lost his leg. With AniCell, we have given him the best chance for keeping the limb. This product has drastically reduced his healing time so he can find his forever home with help from Mayberry 4 Paws.”
