Highly Recommended Family-Friendly Movie Release

Several months ago, Angel Studios released a new and inspiring true story of Dr. Ming Wang in SIGHT. See how his revolutionary amniotic membrane contact lens changed the world and helped millions restore their eyesight! We here at AniCell were excited to see the movie release and the amazing use of this technology for helping people with damaged eyesight.  Look for it out on streaming services.

STEMWRAP IU FOR HARD-TO-SETTLE MARES

In 2021, Dr. Maria Schnobrich, DVM, DACT, of Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital embarked on a journey to discover the regenerative effects of AniCell’s new amnion composite in the intrauterine environment. Along with Nathaniel Newton, Stephanie Walbornn, Christine Bartley, Jamie Kaczor, Lauren Moshier, Holly Hersey, Dale Kelley, and Robert Holland, they performed a 12-mare, 21-day safety study to evaluate the effects of intra-uterine application of this composite. Compared to saline control, no mare experienced an elevated temp, or any differences in cytology, bloodwork, or histology. See the following abstract attached here.

In 2022, with the sound safety results in hand, Dr. Schnobrich, in collaboration with Dr. C. Scott Bailey of Claiborne Farm and Dr. Karen Wolfsdorf of Hagyard Equine Medical Institute did a 300 Mare/500 application study and found in 29 hard-to-settle mares (Bred twice, not pregnant, over 10 years old) had a 64% settle rate compared to a 53% settle rate with antibiotics.  See the abstract on efficacy here.  In 2023, Dr. Modesty Burleson repeated the study on 37 hard-to-settle mares and settled 83% of thoroughbreds and 50% of warmbloods with a single infusion of the placental tissue composite. Stay tuned for the published study this spring.

AniCell new products benefit veterinarians and horse owners in EHV-1 outbreaks

At AniCell, we’re proud of the strides we’ve taken in veterinary care through our innovative technologies. Over the past few years, we’ve partnered with veterinarians and their clients, under USDA oversight, to explore the potential of our amnion-based technology in supporting equine health and welfare, as well as addressing economic concerns.

Together, we’ve gathered real-world evidence on the antimicrobial and bioscaffold properties of our technology, focusing on supporting the body’s natural immune defenses and facilitating self-healing, particularly against infectious diseases like EHV-1.

Under the guidance of Dr. Robert Holland, our studies have shown promising results, including positive impacts on raccoon parvovirus. Collaborations during the Fonner Park EHV-1 outbreak in 2022, supported by data from NVSL and UC Davis, further reinforced our findings.

The introduction of our new product, RestorMune, and its voluntary adoption by veterinarians and clients across nine states speak to the trust placed in us by our partners. We extend our gratitude to the USDA, laboratories, and all involved for their support.

As we prepare to publish our data, we’re eager to initiate double-blinded and controlled university trials to validate our findings. At AniCell, we’re committed to excellence and integrity in advancing veterinary medicine.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us.

Upcoming CE course dates

We’re excited to kick off another year of live CE courses you can attend from the comfort of your home, truck, or office via ZOOM. We started these four years ago to help veterinarians and vet clinic staff learn about amnion as a regenerative application.  We have had over 1050 attendees who earned 2100 hours of RACE-approved Continuing Education credits. You can register by clicking the gold button below or sign up on our website at anicellbiotech.com/events. The free 90-minute course will be a live presentation on the history and use of amnion in human and veterinary regenerative medicine. Our live panel of guest veterinarians will present their latest cases of AniCell use for a variety of indications. Our open forum format encourages participation from attendees to ask questions as we go through the presentation and case studies. These courses are approved for 2 RACE credits for veterinary professionals.
